We Will Encourage Youth Participation at the Dynamic Athletics Meet 2026 - Soetan

The Technical Director of the Dynamic Athletics Meet 2026 and South-West Representative on the Board of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN), Lekan Soetan, has reaffirmed his commitment to promoting youth participation at this year's edition of the competition, scheduled to hold on Saturday, 15 August 2026, at the YABATECH Sports Complex, Yaba, Lagos.

Widely regarded as one of Nigeria's most technically sound athletics professional and one of the country's brilliant athletics statisticians, Soetan believes that creating opportunities for young athletes is essential to the long-term growth of the sport.

According to him, the Dynamic Athletics Meet is designed not only to enhance the performances of elite athletes but also to provide a platform for emerging talents to compete, develop, and gain valuable exposure on the national stage.

In his words:

"Talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not. The Dynamic Athletics Meet 2026 exists to ensure more young people have the opportunity to compete, grow, and dream."

Since its inception, the Dynamic Athletics Meet has maintained an open registration policy that allows both upcoming and elite athletes to participate. This inclusive approach has made the competition a valuable platform for discovering and nurturing the next generation of Nigerian athletics stars.

As the third edition approaches, organizers remain committed to creating an environment where young athletes can compete against their peers while elite competitors pursue outstanding performances and qualifying standards.

Registration for the Dynamic Athletics Meet 2026 will close on 30 July 2026. After the deadline, no further entries will be accepted, allowing the organizing committee sufficient time to complete accreditation, verify entries, correct registration errors, and finalize all technical preparations ahead of the competition.

Athletes, coaches, clubs, and state associations are therefore encouraged to complete their registrations before the deadline to avoid missing the opportunity to be part of this exciting athletics competition.
