OHIMAI HEADS EDO APC YOUTH, STUDENTS DIRECTORATE AS CAMPAIGN COUNCIL TAKES SHAPE

The Edo State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has constituted its Youths and Students Directorate of the Campaign Council, with prominent Owan West politician and APC stalwart, High Chief Lucky Ohimai, popularly known as Tarex, appointed as Director.

The appointment places Ohimai at the head of a team charged with coordinating youth and student engagements as part of the party's campaign structure across Edo State.

The new directorate brings together political leaders, youth mobilisers and professionals drawn from different parts of the state, with the stated responsibility of strengthening grassroots engagement and coordinating campaign activities among young people and students.

Working alongside Tarex as Co-Directors are Comrade Tony Adun, popularly known as Kabaka, and Iluore Augustine Dada, while Kelly Okungbowa (Ebo Stone) will serve as Assistant Director.

The administrative structure of the directorate will be headed by Amb. Julius Aluebhosele, who has been appointed Secretary, with Barr. Ikpoba Eseosa serving as Assistant Secretary.

Other members of the directorate are Okah Uwa Lawrence, Julius Ajadi Olele, Bello Austin Oyazigwolo, Sydney Oseghale, Ogankpolor Jonah and Darlington Ughe.

The appointment document was endorsed by the Edo State APC Chairman, Jarrett Tenebe, alongside the State Secretary, Lawrence Okah (JP), according to the information announcing the constitution of the directorate.

Ohimai's emergence comes against the backdrop of his growing role in APC affairs in Owan West. Previous reports have identified him as a prominent figure in the local APC leadership structure, with party stakeholders crediting his political activities and grassroots mobilisation with contributing to the party's fortunes in the area.

With his latest appointment, Tarex will now be expected to work with the newly constituted team to coordinate the APC's youth and student campaign structure across the state.
