Kennedy Boboye to Lead Edo Queens in WAFU B CAF Women’s Champions League Qualifiers

Bendel Insurance head coach Kennedy Boboye is set to lead Nigeria Women’s League champions Edo Queens in the 2026 WAFU B CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers in Burkina Faso.

Boboye will take charge of the Edo Queens on an interim basis, standing in for the club’s substantive head coach, Moses Aduku, who is currently away on national-team duty.

The experienced tactician brings a wealth of knowledge and top-level coaching experience to the Edo Queens as they begin their quest for continental glory.

Edo Queens have been drawn in Group B alongside ASEC Mimosas of Côte d’Ivoire, Ampem Darkoa FC of Ghana and AS Garde Nationale du Niger.

The assignment is a significant one for Boboye, who will be expected to guide the Nigerian champions through the qualifiers and secure their place in the main CAF Women’s Champions League competition later in the year.

For a coach of Boboye’s experience, the objective is clear: win the WAFU B qualifying tournament and ensure Edo Queens qualify for the main competition.
