Gold and Dollar Alert for Team Nigeria

Team Nigeria medal-winning campaign at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games received an added boost as gold medallist Nworgu Esther and silver medallist Oyema Esther were presented with their instant cash rewards.

Nworgu received $5,000 for her gold medal, while Oyema was rewarded with $2,000 for winning silver.

The cash rewards were presented by the Chairman of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Mallam Shehu Dikko, alongside the Director General of the NSC, Hon. Bukola Olopade, as part of the Commission commitment to motivating and rewarding outstanding performances by Team Nigeria athletes.
