Personal Assistant to the Director General of the Nigeria Institute for Sports, Charles Olubayo, has charged Edo Queens to go all out for victory when they face Ghana’s Ampem Darkoa Ladies in today’s WAFU Zone 2 Women’s Champions League final.
Olubayo urged the Nigerian champions to turn the disappointment of their earlier defeat to the Ghanaian side into motivation, insisting that the final presents the perfect opportunity for revenge.
He called on the players to remain focused, fight for every ball and give their all on the pitch, with the ultimate objective of bringing the trophy back to Edo State and Nigeria.
“Go for revenge and bring the trophy to Edo and Nigeria. This is the moment to show your strength, determination and character. I believe in the quality of this team and I am confident the girls can make Nigeria proud,” Olubayo said.
The Edo Queens will be hoping to complete their impressive continental campaign by defeating Ampem Darkoa and lifting the coveted trophy.
