Bayelsa Queens are on the verge of appointing former Super Falcons player and current Remo Stars Ladies Head Coach, Wemimo Mathew, as their new manager following the departure of Whyte Ogbonda.

The Prosperity Girls recently relieved Ogbonda of his duties after the club failed to successfully defend the Nigeria Women's Football League (NWFL) Premiership title last season, prompting the search for a new direction ahead of the upcoming campaign.
