Nigeria Women’s Football League champions Edo Queens are set to depart Nigeria on August 20, 2026, as they begin preparations for the 2026 CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers for WAFU Zone B.

The regional qualifiers are scheduled to take place in Burkina Faso from August 23 to September 5, 2026, with Edo Queens carrying Nigeria’s hopes as they battle for a place in the final stage of Africa’s premier women’s club competition.

Edo Queens have continued their preparations with their sights firmly set on conquering the region and securing qualification for the continental stage.

Speaking tofaksmedia.comahead of the team’s departure, the club’s General Manager and former Super Falconet coach, Rolandson Over, expressed confidence in the team’s readiness, insisting that Edo Queens are fully prepared for the challenge ahead.

Edo Queens will depart Nigeria on August 20, with the team expected to arrive in Burkina Faso ahead of the commencement of the qualifiers on August 23.

Meanwhile, the WAFU Zone A qualifiers are scheduled to run from July 29 to August 11, 2026.
