Chairman of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Mallam Shehu Dikko, has congratulated Super Eagles and Paris FC winger Moses Simon on reaching the landmark of 100 caps for the Nigerian national team.
Dikko spoke after presenting the iconic 100-cap plaque to the former Nantes FC winger, describing the achievement as a testament to Simon’s passion, resilience and commitment to representing Nigeria at the highest level.
The soft-spoken NSC Chairman said attaining 100 international appearances is no mean feat, noting that Simon has demonstrated remarkable consistency since making his Super Eagles debut several years ago.
“It takes passion and resilience to attain 100 caps for your national team, and that is exactly what Moses Simon has demonstrated over the years,” Dikko said.
The NSC Chairman also charged the Super Eagles to maintain their focus and go for maximum points when they travel on Sunday for their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture against Guinea-Bissau on Tuesday.
Dikko urged the players to remain committed to the task ahead and give Nigerians another reason to celebrate.
