A HERO’S WELCOME: RIVERS POLICE CHEER IGP TUNJI DISU ON RETURN TO FORMER COMMAND

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, received a rousing welcome from officers and men of the Rivers State Police Command during a visit to the Command, where he previously served as Commissioner of Police.

The atmosphere was filled with excitement, cheers and songs as police personnel enthusiastically welcomed the nation’s number-one police officer back to familiar grounds, reflecting the strong sense of nostalgia associated with his return.

The visit was more than an official engagement, as it offered an opportunity for the IGP to reconnect with officers and men of a Command he once led, bringing back memories of his time as Commissioner of Police in Rivers State.

The warm reception underscored the significance of his previous service to the Command and the special connection he shares with personnel who welcomed him back with visible excitement.

For the officers and men, the occasion represented an opportunity to receive a former leader who has since risen to the highest office in the Nigeria Police Force.
